Mortgage Watchdog is an easy to use (pc only) software program designed to find errors in your bank statements.
The Mortgage Watchdog software places very little demand on your operating system. The minimum configuration is:

Currently there is no apple mac version but if you have bootcamp, parallels or vmware fusion you will be able to use it.
There are literally hundreds of diffent types of loans in the marketplace today and mortgage watchdog will work with them all. Whether you have a variable, fixed, offset or line of credit loan, it doesn’t matter, they all will be compatible.

The Mortgage Watchdog Software Program has a recommend retail of $198.00. It is available as a direct download plus you get a physical copy mailed to you.
This represents great value considering the amount that you could end up saving. There are firms out there that offer a similiar service but you are looking at approx $660 plus a 20% "success fee" just to look at a years worth of statements. I have heard it said that “anyone with a spreadsheet program could track their own statements” but this would require you to have a thorough understanding of all the special maths involved. Mortgage Watchdog also has the best guarantee I have ever seen – in the unlikely event that you don’t find any errors in your bank statements you get your money back plus a cheque for $250 just for wasting your precious time. |

I found the software easy to use though I would recommend watching the video walkthrough on site. You have to make sure that you are entering the right dates for everything to work correctly. The only downside is the time it takes: I started with my car loan (didn’t find any errors) and with a little practise I was entering 2 years worth of statements in about an hour. |
